Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 17, 2026
This policy explains what information ProxyPortals collects when you read our articles or contact us, and how we use it.
policy Introduction
ProxyPortals (“we,” “us”) operates proxyportals.com as an independent technology blog. This policy covers the website and our contact form. We collect as little as we reasonably can to publish articles, keep the site working, and answer messages.
analytics Information we collect
Reading the blog: You can read articles without creating an account. We do not require a login.
Technical logs: Our servers and CDN may record IP address, browser type, requested URL, and timestamps for security, abuse prevention, and reliability. These logs are operational, not a profile of your reading history that we sell.
Contact form: If you write to us, we store the name, email, topic, subject, and message you submit, plus limited metadata (such as IP and user agent) so we can reply and reduce spam.
Cookies: Essential cookies may remember theme (light/dark) or similar site preferences. If we later show advertising (for example Google AdSense), those partners may set their own cookies as described in their policies.
Free network tools: Pages under /tools may process data in your browser (WebRTC candidates, user-agent parsing, subnet math, password generation) or call our server for DNS-over-HTTPS lookups and IP geolocation. DNS queries are forwarded to public resolvers (such as Google or Cloudflare DoH). IP lookups use the same Geo-IP source as our What Is My IP page. Generated passwords and passphrase options are not sent to our servers. We do not create accounts from tool use. Operational logs may still record IP and URL as described above.
settings_applications How we use information
We use the limited data we collect to:
- Publish and operate the blog
- Respond to editorial and technical messages
- Protect the Site from abuse and attacks
- Understand aggregate traffic (which articles are read) if analytics are enabled
- Meet legal obligations where they apply
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent mailing lists.
shield_lock Data security
The Site is served over HTTPS. Access to the admin dashboard and message inbox is restricted. No method of transmission is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security of information you send us.
gavel Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or CCPA), you may ask to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold — typically a contact-form thread. Email us from the address you used, or use the contact page, and we will handle the request as required by applicable law.
public Advertising and third parties
Articles may include links to other publishers, vendors, or documentation. Their privacy practices are their own. If advertising networks are enabled on the Site, they may collect device and browsing data according to their policies. You can use browser controls and industry opt-out tools where available.
history Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Site or the law changes. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
